Mindfulness through music workshop and sound bath with Quietnote

Explore meditation and mindfulness through music and then relax with a restorative sound bath with quietnote and The Clear Space

I’m excited to be collaborating with the wonderful Will from quietnote for the second time on the 26th March, in Bournville. We got together to offer this mindfulness through music workshop and sound bath last Autumn and we had absolutely amazing feedback from attendees. Listening to Will play his guitar as we all mindfully connected with his music was nothing short of magical. We’re both very excited to offer this session again!

Will is the Founder and Creative Director of quietnote, a West Midlands based company which helps people better understand mindfulness all through music.

Will studied at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (sharing a musical space with a classically trained musician isn’t intimidating at all… honest….) and he’s since trained as a meditation teacher. He’s really passionate about music, meditation and the amazing impact they can have on our mental health and wellbeing.

"Mindfulness Through Music" This session aims to have a positive impact on your wellbeing and mental health, guiding you towards relaxation, stress reduction, and enhanced self-awareness.

The session will start with an introduction and open conversation about mindfulness, where we'll explore its benefits for our overall health and wellbeing. We'll then explore some breathing exercises and techniques to center and calm the mind. Through the use of his classical guitar, Will will demonstrate how music can act as a powerful guide for meditation practices. Meditation doesn’t have to be about sitting in silence on the mat. Any practice that supports us to focus our attention is meditation and connecting to music is a really beautiful example of this! Mindfulness and meditation isn't solely about finding inner peace; it also involves connecting through our senses and focus. This session is designed to achieve precisely that.

Surrendering to the sounds of crystal singing bowls and koshi chimes for deep restorative sound bath experience

From our mindfulness through music session we’ll transition into our guided meditation and sound bath. At this point, you can let go, surrender, get comfy and sink into a soundscape of crystal bowls and koshi chimes. Click the graphic below to find out about sound baths if you’ve never experienced one before.

Sound baths are suitable for most people and as a trauma-informed practitioner, I include adjustments and suggestions so that everyone can get the most out of the experience. That said, if you are epileptic, pregnant, have a severe clinical mental health diagnosis, or implants such as metal plates, a pacemaker or cochlear implants, a sound bath may not be suitable for you. Please contact me for a chat if you’re not sure.
