I’m sharing a meditation and energy clearing practice today.
Starting your day with a practice that helps you to ground and feel connected is a great way to set the tone for your day. When we wake up in the morning the stress hormone cortisol is at its highest in our system, so spending some time in meditation can help to counter that. I generally find my energy feels quite scatted first thing in the morning, so this is my go to. It grounds me, clears my energy and helps me to feel protected energetically before I go out into the world.
In this energy meditation practice we connect with ourselves, the earth, the universe, and the energy of our own beautiful hearts.
If the idea of connecting with energy is new to you, or it doesn’t resonate, you can still find this practice empowering. We can think of it metaphorically: in connecting to the earth we’re connecting with feeling earthy; firm; resolute; solid; grounded; steadfast and strong. In connecting to the universe we’re connecting with feeling expansive; celestial; etherial; boundless; infinite; and limitless. These opposing energies, or ideas if you prefer, come together to create balance.
There are so many benefits to incorporating a daily practice into your routine. There is something really grounding about anchoring yourself to a ritual, even if it’s a short one. Spending even a short amount of time in meditation each day can help to improve your overall sense of well-being and clarity of mind. It can also help to reduce stress and increase feelings of calm and relaxation.
