December 12th 7pm - 9pm sound bath and traditional Yule crafts

£30.00

A sound bath and yule celebration. Join me to explore Yule and the winter solstice, including crafting a traditional corn favour. Join me for a festive tea and a community celebration, where we’ll connect with the energy of Yule and the winter solstice. There’ll be a special guest appearance from Alex, The Littlest Bard, who will be leading a session where you’ll learn about the traditional craft of corn weaving and make your own festive Yule favour.

Corn weaving, also known as straw work or straw plaiting, is a traditional craft that involves braiding and shaping the husks, stalks, and ears of corn into intricate designs. This art form has been practiced for centuries, particularly in rural communities. Traditionally, corn weaving was used to create symbolic decorations, such as corn dolls, harvest crowns, and ornaments, which were believed to bring good luck and protect the home. We’ll be creating a simple corn weaving each (not pictured) while we explore the history of the craft and the themes of yule.

After we’ve explored this ancient art, we’ll get cosy and settle into our sound bath session where you’ll be invited to float away, rest and nourish yourself against the backdrop of koshi chimes and crystal singing bowls.
